(I just played DS Cute. So I don’t know why I drew the boy. But this is what I got from it.)
The Witch Princess poofs in at random milestones, offering you a tangible but meaningless reward. It’s a gift item that sells for next to nothing and that she freely admits is totally useless. …But hey, at least it’s something.
The Harvest Goddess poofs in at random milestones, offering you absolutely nothing. She makes a big show of pointing out that you get nothing. …Except maybe that fleeting opportunity to take some pure pride in your achievement.
Such a big part of Harvest Moon games is self-motivation. …Finding ‘something exciting in this world’ that only you can see amidst all the repetitive ‘patterns.’ Being willing to work hard for your own personal satisfaction and little else. I think that’s the takeaway message. So in that way, as annoying as it is to be constantly denied rewards, I think the Goddess is supposed to be like the ‘good angel’ on your shoulder reminding you that hard work is its own reward~.

“Eight of spades”: the symmetrical figure of death.
Try to horizontal-flip it; I dare you.

...I’ll just have to call these animated-portrait-things,

since Jamie would probably object to being called a “sprite.”

Type: Steel / Fighting.
Battles for great justice, casting a strong aura —
that is, using the sheer force of will power.

I’ll write to PokéStar and Global Studios and suggest the collaboration.

“Oh!  Is that a Smeargle in her natural habitat?”

Once, I got a notion about how much fun it would be to go to a con as Todd Snap, and make it a goal to take pictures of all the Pokémon gijinkas.
…I’m not gonna do it, but I at least wanted to draw it.
If you do it, in this case, I don’t recommend bringing a friend as Oak.

My favorite character…
…takes an antagonistic role despite noble intentions…
…is exceedingly talented but still rather immature…
…believes in a ‘perfect’ natural order of things…
…exists on the cusp of an ambiguous border…
…although their mind is stuck in a strict frame of black-and-white…
…and their heart will be changed for good
by the model of the chosen hero,
on a journey to achieve harmony.
